Alterations and Additions | There is an existing double garage with the studio above that the client spends a bit of time within. They wanted an all weather connection between the dwelling and the garage/studio that is sympathetic to the early 1900’s heritage style. The client also wanted to enlarge the existing kitchen and modernise it, and make an adjoining family meals room off the kitchen. The idea then was to provide between the two building was to create an outdoor living and entertaining area that overlooks the expansive read land. The style was sympathetic and inspired by the original but not a reproduction. They wanted to con-temporise the kitchen, which previously had more of a tuscan feel to it. The passage way between the two buildings, a light connection, not dominating construction between the two sections, glazed, give it a more obvious entrance, so the idea was to go with black steel framed, double glazed doors. The idea was a glass corridor.
